Sky Experience Adventure, Cebu City

I went to Cebu for the long weekend this Holy Week together with my newest travel buddy, Rach. This was my second time to visit Cebu and I haven’t really gone around before so we made sure to maximize the time that we spent there.

Waiting at the airport.

Our flight bound for Cebu was scheduled at 5:45pm and we landed at around 7:00pm. Cebu City is 30mins away from the Mactan Airport by Taxi. We decided to rest for a bit at our hotel before going to the Crown Regency Hotel and Towers where we will try the Sky Experience Adventure. We didn’t have any hotel reservations so we checked out Cebu View Hotel and Sogo (right beside Cebu View). We ended up staying at Sogo because it’s a lot cheaper because of the per hour rate. It was perfect because we need to check out at 4am and ride a bus to Oslob, but that’s for another post.

Sky Experience Adventure is open from 2pm ’til 12 midnight during weekdays (they open at 10am on weekends), which was a good thing for us because our flight was late in the afternoon. The original plan was just to stay overnight in Cebu City and have enough rest before going to Oslob. But since we’re there already, might as well try it, too. Because it was almost midnight and there was a bit of rain earlier, there were just only a few tourists that night. Perfect.

They offer package combos for the rides including the entrance fee, and we chose 3 rides: the Edge Coaster, Skywalk Extreme, and the Tower Zip Line. There are also official photographers there to take pictures for you because you’re not allowed to bring cameras with you during the rides. Just bring extra money with you just in case you want them to print out your pictures.

My personal favorite was the Edge Coaster. For 3 minutes the ride will go around the edge while you’re locked onto a rail seat. That might sound too short but wait ’til you’re seated (and tilted forward!) on the edge of one of the highest buildings in the Philippines.

Rach is ready to go!

I don’t know why I’m doing that pose.

I was pretty hungry and sleepy at this point. Zip lining at midnight.

Me showing off my certificates.

It was a fun experience and the staff were really nice and accommodating. They seem to have a weird fixation on my shoes because it got noticed by 3 different staffs at separate times.

We finished by past midnight, had a quick dinner at the Jollibee fast food right across the hotel (thank goodness it was open 24hrs because I was starving), and took a cab going back to the hotel for a much needed rest.
